Poonagala

This picture of Poonagala hills was taken from Wellawaya. I love Wellawaya because of this scenery.

Poonagala hills are famous for its viewing points such as Lipton Seat, Millennium Point and Pilkington’s Point. Also Diyaluma falls form from the streams flowing from these hills.

This is beautiful scenery. It reminds me of Cade's Cove here in the mountains of east Tennessee.

That paddy field and the three ranges of hills create a beautiful rustic backdrop. And like Rain said, it must be full of fresh air with all that greenery.

long time no see! Been busy with a thesis on some strings and theories.
Man after my own heart :) but I like to look down from those mountains. (Even though I like rice, found out paddy's are too muddy during my last visit. I will stick with tea. Also got shouted at by the paddy owner for walking in his field, I did not use those dividers. I paid for the thrashed paddy and he was all smiles)
I second George's comment and these mountains look similar to the mountains surrounding the Cade's cove. I love the Smoky Mountains and of course the national park.

Thank you for the photo. I may have seen the hills from the same vantage but I was too consumed with wanting to be in the hills then to notice. I remember Wellawaya though.

Clo,
Thanks very much.

Magerata,
Yes, I have to agree that the view from the top is better than this, yet this is a view hard to miss while passing Wellawaya.
thanks a lot for your comments.

I agree with Linnea. I'm loving the layers, as well as the ridges carved into the sides of the hills.

I almost missed the trees atop the hill. So neat.
