Rocky Beach

This lonely rocky beach was captured close to Panama village (pronounced as paːnəmə) in the South East of Sri Lanka close to Ruhunu National Park (Yala). You can view more pictures of this place, in this post as well.

There are many similar beach fronts in that region in Yala National Park (E.g. Patanangala) and South of Sri Lanka close to the reserve (E.g. Kirinda).

I have seen some of the most attractive beaches in this region!

It is very inviting..We were in the water whole afternoon :)

Chavie,
Both you and Sunny mentioned about the dark color of the sea..
I too like that contrast of rocky beach and the blue ocean.

Thanks both of you for the comments!

It looks so nice, and the rocks add an elusive feel to the beach. It must be wonderful to be there!

Hello K, Great picture of the beach and ocean front. The rocks are so pretty... I'd love to sit on a big rock and just enjoy hearing the ocean roar.

Wow.. what a breathtaking scenery! Excellent capture K! And yep, the sea colors are so picture perfect and even the sky is completely cloudless, almost like a painting.

By the way is that a seagull in the sky? =D

Icy BC,
Yes it was such a wonderful beach to spend the day!

Rainfield,
Blue water and white sand contrast very well.

Goerge,
I shall upload more photos of this rocky beach:)

Betsy,
We did just that during the evening :)

Harumi,
Yes it was a spotless sky with no clouds :)
I have no idea what the bird is! I saw it only after I downloaded the picture into the PC :)

Lovely ! Just absolutely lovely ! I have been to kirinda once... on a fishing trip ( my older brother loves to go deep sea fishing, its a hobbie)...and, I remember we went to a location that had a light house. Is that location in Kirinda familiar to you ? Either way, you're absolutely right... its just such gorgeous uninhibited beauty !
